Heh heh. Seems the Dark Owly one has fallen for the old "machine gun-just-left-randomly-around" trick. Little does he know it will explode in the face of anyone who tries to use it. There he goes, off into island interior, Scrotum in hand. Which reminds me, this tree feels strangely hairy, for a tree. Reminds me more of, umm, I dunno, a beaver perhaps. It'll be a big one though. I hardly dare look

What was that? Another gunshot? If I'm gonna get off of this cursed island I must find out who is firing shots. Maybe they have a boat But it was quite far away..a few days hike from this beach at least. I better gorge on coconuts and take a few with me. The identity of this mangled body will remain a mystery for now. I'll start my hike by that old camera in that tree and head deep in the jungle. Somebody or something was here at one point so I'm bound to bump into something. Even though I've only been walking for a few minutes, I can hear alot of rustling in the leaves and have a weird suspicion that I am being watched. I think I'll sit quietly for a while and scan the area. Out of the corner of my eye, I could have swore that I saw something move. I wish I had a gun..I don't want to eat another one of those berries yet cuz I lose all control and memory when I transform. S**t I did see something move..there it is!.. but what is it? Whew!...it's only a squirrel. On a tropical island??? Wait a minute!!!...it can't be.. OMG, I think I might know what they (whoever they are) have done on this undeserted island.

-- tones (9/1/2009) I was minded to compare this site to a sort-of-private Facebook, but, on reflection, that's not right . . . Nope. Here is a forum to exchange views and discuss topics and maybe have some literary fun; post some interesting pics (not Megabits of family krap); flag up some internet sites of Interest; pass on the occasional joke. To me, (struggling for analogy here) it's bit more like a quiet and cosy pub with locals you know and the occasional visitor from "outside"; thick stone walls and a cellar full of well-kept ale. Facebook, on the other hand, is some awful massive city-centre club that serves Fosters lager. And, you know what? I am not unhappy with that analogy. I prefer the pub.

Strange disembodied voices; weird creatures - this is Prospero's island. But we haven't reached the climax yet, oh no. The pieces of the jigsaw have yet to fall into place. I shall hide amongst the trees and observe the enormous beaver.

I can't seem to get that weird squirrel-like creature out of my head but I must move on. The jungle is getting thicker and the terrain is starting to get steeper. Hopefully if I can make it to the top of this mountain, I will have a good vantage point on the lay of the land. After walking for an hour I can finally see the top of this mountain. Wow!..an amazing view!...but it looks like I'm still a long ways from where I heard those gunshots. Hmmmm, what's that up there in that tree? Looks like some kind of nest. A great place to take a break and have a snack but I'm getting sick of this damn coconut. Yet again, I feel as though I'm being watched. As I scan around, I notice that tree shake a little bit. There's an animal coming out of that nest! As it stares at me and starts down the tree, I go into attack mode...should I eat one of those mysterious berries and go into a wolf-like frenzy? No, I can defend myself with this club-like stick. It looks like some kind of primate and I can hear a whining sound...almost like a dog. It comes closer. As it sits there, five yards away, I realize that I am not in danger...but I can't believe my f****n eyes! As we stared at each other, my heart is still racing. Suddenly, the creature rolls over with belly exposed and wimpers. Ohhhhhh, the little guy just wants his belly rubbed! I rub his belly and feed him some coconut. It looks like I have a new friend.
